Alex and I survived our first week together. He had some sleeping issues, but we're figuring them out. We had a nice visit with Aunt Jamie and Nana (no pics sorry) and with Dad and Jodi. Alex has been more interactive this week, when he isn't crying. :-) enjoy the pictures.

Sorry it has been a few days. This week  has been kind of hard. I like the Alex burp cloth beard. :-) Alex also enjoyed tummy tinge for the first time, well for a few min.

I weighed Alex today on or scale and he was 8 lbs 5 oz, which is up 13 oz since two weeks ago. Mike keeps coming home and saying "he's bigger!" But I'm not seeing it, but I'm with him 24/7. :-)

Today was Mike's first day back to work, and Alex and my first day just the two of us. I'm happy to report we all survived! :-) Alex cried a lot today, but we'll figure it out as we go. He only seems to like to nurse...and sleep...or cry. :-) I've attached a picture of Alex in his new outfit and shoes (thanks aunt Shawn), and another of him side by side a picture of him at the hospital. Alex slept from 10 pm to almost 6 am straight last night, woke up for two hours, then slept and got another two and a half hours. This kid is so related to me. :-) today a spent the day with the Wade family and Grandma and Grandpa Manny, which was much fun. Alex got lots of attention and enjoyed seeing everyone, as did Mike and I. :-) thank you Jodi and Shawn for handling the little man so much today, gave my arms a little break. :-)

Alex didn't sleep much today, but for some reason at 9 pm he is wide awake. What a silly baby it's bed time. :-)

Yesterday, Alex produced his first tear after breakfast seen in the picture attached. A new phase of life already. :-) today we all took a trip to Kensington metro park and had a picnic and walked around. It was a lovely day to go to the park. Mike is now off to see a movie with a friend so Alex and I are watching a car show together. I've attached a picture of him vegging out with me. He's already asked me for a red Ferrari...smart kid. :-)

Alex had a pretty lazy day today, including a 3 hour nap with mommy. :-) here are some pictures of him today, one of him with a full belly passed out, the other was taken with him looking at himself in the camera phone front facing camera.

Also, Mike worked really hard today and got the gutters off and put back on today. Turns out the old gutters didn't have enough slope to then so that may have been why they kept over flowing, I guess we'll see.

Today Alex played on the floor with a toy gym and seemed to like it. He also tried out his CB "breaker breaker" look. :-) Mike dug a trench in the yard for under ground water removal, and is preparing to replace our gutters over the kitchen because they constantly overflow and rain pours onto the deck.

Alex enjoyed his mothers day with his nana today, sadly he slept through most of it. He has also reverted back to his 2 hour sleep schedule, which isn't making mommy very happy at night, but what can you do? :-)

Alex has been making some changes. He seems to be smiling more and also started to coo and make noises with his mouth other than screams. :-) he also slept for 5.5 hours straight last night, and would have slept longer if I didn't need to nurse him to make myself feel better. He is growing up fast.

Alex weighed in at 7 lbs 9 oz today, so up 5 oz from a week ago. He also grew 0.5 inches. :-) all checked out good and the next apt is in a month, where he will get a shot. Poor fella.

Alex has his 4 week check up tomorrow, so we'll have a new weight and height check in for him. Any guesses on how heavy he is this week? :-)

Mike finished painting or master bedroom and put up a ceiling fan so we are all set to move back into our room and stop living in our living room. :-) I'm looking forward to that...with 3 hour sleep intervals on a good night a bed will be much better than the recliner or couch.

Alex is really enjoying his walks at night, along with link and Mike. Hence another picture of us out and about. Alex actually had his eyes open the whole time.
