Everyday is a New Adventure

Alex has really been enjoying his fruit lately. He puts so many berries in his his mouth he can't talk.  Today he put so many blueberries in his mouth he had to push back in the ones that were coming out as he shoved another in.

Today Alex got into a new cupboard in the kitchen.  He was trying to put lids on my Pyrex  measuring cups

I put Alex down and some how he was able to get his arm out of his onesie, no idea how.

Alex looked so scared when Mike walked away to get something for me.  He looked like he wasn't sure Mike was coming back. Note: We bought a cart cover, not because of germs, but because Alex can wiggle out of even the tightest of cart harnesses.  So we needed to get one with shoulder straps so he couldn't stand up anymore in the cart.

Mike put the bowl on Alex's head, after which Alex would wiggle his head back and forth a little bit so it would fall off, then Alex would scream at the top of his lungs with delight. 

Mike went out with Alex for a "Boy's Day Out" with three other guys and their kids.  This is Alex coming home. He was all tuckered out.

Reading time with Alex

Alex has really been enjoying his new toy from his Oma.  Granted he mostly enjoys eating it. :)

Lets talk business... or at least taxes.  :)

Alex loves getting into the DVD collection and seeing what looks interesting.

Alex went up a full flight of stairs one day (while being watched), and he went up his aunts stairs twice while visiting.  He is getting pretty good at them.

Alex has been a treat in church.  He hardly stays still and this week he even screamed at the top of his lungs. :)

Alex has been commando crawling only since he started crawling, but this week while we were visiting his Aunt Shawn he got up on his knees and crawled a few steps.  Then at church he did it again.  So we might have a knee crawler soon.

Hey it's like 40 out!! Spring!!!

Alex has been sleeping in the most interesting ways lately.  He feel asleep bagging on the wall with this feet. :)

Mike let me go out shopping on my own and Alex was using him as a jungle gym. 

Alex really loves this toy.  Thank you again Aunt Jamie!!  He loves opening and closing the door and he refuses to let the mailbox stay closed.  He is also using it as a toy he can use to stand and walk around.

Alex still loves his walker too.  He zooms around the kitchen and library like crazy.  I can't wait until he is walking on his own (ha ha ha, just kidding).

Alex has been taking to getting his toys out of the box himself.  He really likes to dig in there. :)

Alex is so funny when we are grocery shopping.  He takes off his sock and is always trying to stand up on the seat.  He also tends to put his feet up and his hands behind his ears, which is pretty cute I have to say.

Yes I dressed Alex like this.  I liked the crazy pants and socks.  I figured he looks like I do most days when I have my pj's on.  Mike however did not agree it was a good look. 

A Boy and His Dog

Alex stands at any chance he gets and he's really enjoying it I think.  Yesterday he even stood on his own twice for a few moments balancing.  We think walking is just around the corner.

As I was vacuuming the rug in the entryway Alex took it upon himself to climb one of the steps to the upstairs.  He even started going for another one but Link distracted him.

Link does really well with Alex as you can see.  I think Link may even enjoy the attention, but I keep a close eye and tell Alex not to do things when he might be hurting Link.  So far so good.

Daddy Son Love!!

We visited Royal Oak this weekend and got to see our good friend Geoff.  Alex thought he was a hoot. 

Alex has been trailing the coffee table all the time.  He even trust himself to bend down and pick up his toys and carry them around with him. Even the heavy bug toy he picked up and carried a while.

Alex has not wanted to eat anything lately.  He'll take a bite or two, but then he just doesn't want any more of one thing, he'll try another one or two bites and then doesn't want that.  I get this blank stare when I try and give him food he doesn't want anymore.  He doesn't look at me, he just looks off into space.

Link hovers by Alex's chair because Alex tends to throw what he doesn't want overboard.  After Alex was done eating this morning he got to pet Link some, which they both enjoyed. 

So I put up a gate in the door way to the play room so we could keep the door open.  Then Link can see in and Alex and I can see out, but that is only when Alex doesn't close the door like he likes to do. :)

Good morning all! Alex was being pretty cute this morning. I walked him around the bedroom this morning, leading him to the window and then stopping there so he could look out. He really enjoyed checking out the view, and hiding behind the curtain. I took this picture and even though it was with my phone, it turned out pretty nice. :)
