It's been a while

These pictures start back in April

For a while we were getting daily magic tricks put on by Evan or Eliza. Evan was showing us how he hid this object in his pocket... Ta Da!

Eliza enjoying her beautiful unicorn hair while coloring.

There was a bumble bee that met his demise in the bin by our front door, so we took it out and looked at it through the magnifying glass. Science!

Evan was excited about the peppers.

My grow area back in April. I will start later next year.

Alex sharing a video with Eliza.

Another magic show with a sucker in his mouth. He was able to walk with the cow between his legs carrying many objects in his hand.

Crazy hair at school

Eliza working on her fairy garden.... that we still need to finish.  Her fairies and horse are super sparkly!

Eliza kept setting up these little scenes when we put her to bed, just inside her door. I would go in to tuck her in and see these, and have to avoid stepping on them.

Second COVID shots are no fun.

My helpful crew building my brick path for the garden.

We visited Evan's teacher, and he was not sure what to do at first because she wasn't on his computer, she was a REAL person!! He got over it and finally talked with her, which was nice. She was so awesome! We are going to miss her next year.... maybe.... turns out she'll teach 1st grade next year, so I'm going to request Evan has her again.

Eliza's hair is getting long enough to braid.

Evan checking out the plants while they were hardening off in the sun, waiting for the garden to be ready to plant.

We all (Bakers and Wades) went over to Oma's house for her birthday in May. We had a nice hotdog, chips and watermellon picnic outside.

A gift I found for my mom on my Mom Staycation I took earlier in month. It says  "Gardening - Cheaper than Therapy and you Get Tomatoes!"

Mike had a nice visit with his mom on Mother's day

Daddy like Daughter, always stealing my shredded cheese.

Brick path is complete in the garden. :) Thank you little crew, you were a huge help.

Compost got delivered. It was delivered by a senior in high school, with hair to his butt that lives on a horse farm and his junior in high school girl friend. He owns his own compost 'Holy Crap Compost'.

Getting my garden soil mixed up for the garden.

Everything is potted up and garden is on its way.

Alex got enough points in the point system to request a special homemade treat, this is what he wanted.

Cucumbers are starting to come up. Evan and Eliza are very excited.

Cuddle time at bedtime. So much skin.

We visited Auntie Em and Lila. Eliza drove Lia around her her little bumper car, the kids found this quite fun.

Lila was trying to steal the kids frog spit ice cream, so they jumped on to the couch to escape her. She's almost ready to walk, so they will have to be on their toes even more next visit.

We had dad and Jodi over for his birthday. He enjoyed some time with the kids and his cherry pie.

Ok dude

Eliza watching shows on daddy's computer with her Llama-corn.

Allergy season was in full swing.... even with allergy medicine and eye drops we suffered this year.

The kids got some seeds from Dad and Jodi so we put them in our flower garden.

Fun at the park

Harvesting Basil

Ready to make pesto

You may be wondering why Evan would throw his cats on the roof of the garage, I was wondering the same thing. And it was about to rain.

Alex art from his art class at school. Godzilla fighting a Kracken while he watched.

Evan was cold at the restaurant, so I gave him my hoodie... it was a tad too big.

We've had a few visits from the Rowe family in the last few months. Everyone loves ice cream!

We finally saw the Carter family for Jamie's birthday.  Uncle Dave and Aunt Jamie out do themselves with things for the kids. They had a blowup pool for the kids and lots and lots and lots of water balloons for them to play with. We had such a nice visit and the kids had so much fun.

We got to see Larry and Pat for the first time in over a year.

Evan's end of the year gathering with his kindergarten class at a local park.

Alex had a party too, the next day. This is his teacher Ms. Merglueski.

Alex's Class , he's in the blue hat on the right.

1st and Last day of school

1st and Last day of school - funny face

Eliza made this straw person with a sun hat at dinner. She was very proud.

We headed to my Grandma Ernst's house to visit with the Ernst families before cleaning it out for my cousin Stanley's family to move in. It was so nice to see everyone after a year plus of not seeing anyone. All the babies were over a year old already. The kids got to enjoy the hose and sprinkler before the rain set in.

We put all of the grandparents possessions on the lawn or on tables and went through everything. It was sad, but also nice to have all the memories to share with each other.

While I was helping clean out the Grandparents house, Mike texts me this picture and says "Do you think it's broken?" I of course say 'What?!?!?" and call him directly.

Turns out it was broken and I was an hour away and he had all 3 kids. So Sara came over and watched the boys while Mike took Eliza to the Urgent Care. She's been doing fine. You wouldn't' even know she hurt herself if she didn't have the arm bandaged.

Eliza is finding the challenge of eating with her Left hand interesting....

The garden is coming along nicely

Poppies are finally starting to open. Loving the colors.

Got some new trellis that are 7 feet tall. The cucumbers have plenty of room to grow now.

James is still able to be held by his mom.

Enjoying some time with the cousins. Eliza got a pink cast and goes in next week for her check up to make sure it is healing correctly.

Got to send Father's day with dad and Mike at Shawn's place.

The Cicada are SO LOUD at Shawn's house. There are so many in the woods behind her house. There are so many Cicada shells in her orchard. It's kind of amazing!

The boys finally got to check out the new splash pad just at the entrance of our sub. We have to drive by it every time we leave the house.

They lasted 45 min with it being overcast and 70 degrees and windy. They were troopers! They can't wait to go back.

Reading time during naps.

Me and Alex enjoying a cuddle.

The kids watching me play in the garden.

Evan's Marigolds coming along nicely.

Eliza's cosmos are looking good too!

Tomatillos are coming along

Green beans are growing

Onions are getting big

Cucumbers are starting to climb

More cucumbers

Green bean flowers have started.

Loving these flowers!

Keeping Busy is our middle name

We joined some friends for bowling, turns out the boys really enjoy it. Evan is already perfecting his form. Eliza tries really hard to get ...
