What a year it has been

We finally took Alex's baby car seat out of Mike's car.  Alex had to jump into it and give it a final test drive.  As you can see with his head over the top and his feet over the end, he wasn't going to fit in it for very much longer.

Now you see me.....

Now you don't. :)

I'm not really sure they are related. ;-)

Alex has really taken off on feeding himself.  He really likes to feed himself oatmeal with a spoon, and anything he can stab with a fork he will.  He's getting pretty good I must say.

This is Alex's new winter hat.  It even has a tail.  He get's compliments every where we go.

So one morning it was taking me a bit longer to get downstairs.  I come around the corner to this image.  Alex had opened my computer, got it to turn on, and had a folder open and he was trying to get to watch a video.  Kids and technology I tell ya.

I was shoveling snow one day and Alex didn't have any gloves yet, so I looked down and his hands were all red.  So I took off my gloves and put them on him... he loved it.

Alex playing on some cars in the mall.

They even had a tractor.

This is my little taco man when he gets out of the shower. All bundled up.

Here Alex is with his two second cousins.  Everett (middle) is 2.5 months younger, and Patrick (right) is 3 months younger than Everett.

James and Alex cuddling on the couch.

Alex playing dress up.

Alex is still grooving on the piano.  He plays a bit on it just about every day.

Mike was up in the attic working on figuring out our electrical issue and Alex got into his tool bag and found these babies.  Ah yeah... Eye protection.

Alex has been feeling a little sick the last few weeks.  So he's been cuddling up with me on the couch and watching his cartoons.

I was getting new lenses in my glasses before the end of the year and while we were waiting I thought I might try some glasses on Alex.  I think he'd look pretty cute.

Alex playing on his golf cart rocker.

Alex and Davey looking at the lobster at Mike's and his Mom's birthday gathering.

Alex in his Santa outfit.  Pretty cute.

The outfit even goes with his PJ's under the Santa outfit. :)

Ever since my friend Kristi introduced Alex to smelling spices, every time we go to a restaurant Alex has to smell the pepper and salt. It's pretty cute, but with his runny nose it's been a little gross. We've also taught Alex how to blow his nose which has been really helpful with his cold the last few weeks.

Winter here we come

Alex really enjoys watching the garbage trucks when they come by.  He has even started to recognize the sound of the trucks as they are approaching so he can run to the window and watch.

Alex also really enjoys his mac and cheese

And he enjoys wearing it as well.

I just thought this was a cute picture of the boys leaving Meijer.  Alex looks like he's sailing a ship "Ahoy, the car is down yonder".

Alex got this sports car from our neighbor.  Little did she know a tiny puppy came along for the ride in the backseat.  Even looks a little like Link.

Alex and I were helping out at the church a few weeks ago and he got to play in the nursery and found this cool hat.

He found it to be quite fun.

Alex and I went over to a MOPS friend of mine Kristi.  She was letting Alex smell different spices that she had.  He really enjoyed it.

This is the second day we went to the church to help out. Alex was all over the place this day.

Alex and Link playing by the front door.

Alex playing with the other vehicle that our neighbor gave us.  This thing is solid! Heavy! and uber cool man.  It was manufactured in the late 60's and you can tell.  It has carpet in the inside, and a sliding door on the side. Alex has really been enjoying it.

The boys at the playground on one of the last days of warmth for the fall.

Alex really loves his toast.  It has also taught him how to rip off pieces of food with his front teeth.

Alex running around while Mike and I clean the house.

Personally I think his outfit was pretty cute.  The red socks really make the outfit.

Alex helping Daddy rewire the outlets in his soon to be room.

Handing Daddy tools.

Alex enjoying a light read mid morning in Mommy's chair.

Alex has learned that he can climb into his walker, but he hasn't figured out how to get out again.

Alex playing trains at the Wade household with Maggie.

Alex and Oma reading books and having fun.

Here is Alex in his Halloween costume.  He was an elephant. :)

Pretty cute if I do say so myself.

Alex and Daddy going out in the subzero temperatures.

Alex unloading his loot.

"I'm ready for my close up Mr. De Ville"

Alex looking cute one fine morning.

Keeping Busy is our middle name

We joined some friends for bowling, turns out the boys really enjoy it. Evan is already perfecting his form. Eliza tries really hard to get ...
