Summer is quickly going by

Alex has really taken to stacking these blocks.  Granted he might have had a little help from Daddy, but impressive none the less.

Alex realized today that he had a window in his box fort.  He can fit almost his whole head out of the window.

He's looking for a bowl cut... but I'm not going to do it. :)  Just a note that he was wearing a long sleeve shirt in July, granted it was super cute and his cousin Maggie gave it to him... but honestly... it's July!!

While away the boys will play.  Mike made a happy face out of cheerios and Alex LOVED it.

Practicing 911 at the park on the big phone.

There is my crazy bowl head baby/toddler.  What a goofy kid.

Daddy and Alex playing with the water table.

Alex got cold after playing in the water so I got him down to his diaper and he was just watching Link in the grass.

I have a feeling I'm going to see this look a lot when he gets older.  The "Oh Mom, really? Can't I just do it after XYZ?"

Alex watching Daddy get a hair cut.  Mike attempted to get Alex on the chopping block, but thankfully she had another customer come in. The curls are saved for another day.

Alex practicing swimming at his 15 month check up, while destroying the paper cover for the table.  He did well at his appointment.  His head size is still large... his height is just a little above average, and he is still riding the lowest weight line you can for the 3rd percentile.  He got two shots and was a trooper through them.

The doctor recommended giving Alex PediaSure to get him his extra nutrients... and he seems to like it.  He even has a milk mustache.

Alex swinging with the Wades.

Alex and Daddy sharing a laugh after work.

Alex showing off his cute bear pj's that his Grandma Jamie got for him.

Alex has taken to jumping in the fridge while I am getting things out. He finds it quite fun to grab anything glass he can find, and refuses to get out until he has something to take with him.

Alex showing off his sunglasses.

I've begun letting Alex feed himself with a spoon.  I don't think he likes it very much, but he does try it for a while.  He got some on the spoon and in his mouth the first time!

Two peas in a pod at Red Robin.

On Aug. 6th you could get a free float at A&W so we went and Alex had his first taste of a root beer float. He seemed to like it, but didn't want much, which was ok with me.

The kids watching the people mow the lawn across the street.

Alex really likes his lawn mower we got him. Every time he goes into the garage he grabs it and starts to walk out.

Him putting his lawn mower away after a hard days work.

Fun in the sun plus more...

We went to the park this weekend and Alex looked so cute looking out the openings of one of the toys.

This is an expanded view of what it looked like.  So cute.

A few weeks ago I went and checked out some garage sales and found this beauty.... a water table.  Alex took right to it even without water.  He figured out by himself that you could put the balls in the middle and they roll down.

Note that he has to get on his tippy tippy toes to get the balls in.

Alex got into a bag of cheerios and sadly they were open, so it was 100 cheerio pick up for Mommy... Alex was quite pleased with himself.

Alex enjoying part of a movie after a nap.

Alex and Daddy enjoying some cuddle time while watching the movie together.

Alex has started to enjoy chocolate milk... but only in moderation. Oh and he also can drink from a small cup on his own now.  Not sure if I have reported this or not.

"Ahhhhh..."

I went to try on my dress that I got for my friend Julie's wedding.  Alex was enjoying this space running around and looking at the mirrors... but for some reason he did not see his forehead coming right for him and went head first into one of the mirrors. I guess it happens all the time because the ladies near by told us so.  But you can see Alex's expression from all angles.

Alex's box fort has grown... this is him going in...

Closing the door...

Coming out the trap door on the other end. :)

This is the mess I come upon most days.  All my tupperware all over the floor with dog hair clung to it.

Alex loves to watch the garbage trucks go by in the morning.

I decided to show Alex rain... not that he hasn't seen it before.  It was pouring and I wanted him to see it... so he found it so much fun to go in and out and scream with glee at the rain.  He got drenched, but loved every moment of it.

Alex and Link hanging out on the floor after getting into some dry clean clothes.

"Vogue"

Alex and I went to a park after meeting up with a friend, and I was surprised how easily he could climb these stairs that were almost as tall as he was.

Alex and I visited the zoo this week.  He didn't have much interest in the animals, he was more interested in the people and the construction going on in some of the habitats.  He did find the Prairie Dogs entertaining.

He also enjoyed the Arctic Corner because I let him wander a bit.

And wander he did.

Alex finally started liking cheese this week.  I had to capture the moment.

He also got a new toy this weekend from the Bushaw Family.  A wooden Manchester school bus that has little wood people in it.  He loves to play with it and is figuring out how to get the people in and out.  The door also opens and closes.

All good things come to an end....

Mike took a half day of work on Monday to come home and go bowling with us. However, the $1 lanes were under maintenance (little did we kn...
