Summer Fun

As I was leaving for an evening with some of my mom friends I got a send of from the boys from our bedroom window.  Alex yelled out "Have a good time at your friends house!" and "Love you" until I was out of sight. Could he get more cute?!

Evan got his first haircut (front before)

At one of the parks we go to there is a splash pad.  Alex is all for it, Evan however is not.  As you can tell by the picture. This day they were turning on and off the water so you can't get the full effect of the water that comes out.

Super Evan!  With the power of his super belly he can eat you out of house and home.

Alex at his first dentist appointment ever.  He did well and they didn't find much plaque at all.  Over all a good experience, not that you could tell from this expression.

Both boys helping daddy mow.

On hot days we set up inside bowling in the foyer.  I sit by the catching cushions and am the racker, and daddy helps keep Evan or Alex away while one or the other is bowling.

The boys love to bike around the Cal-Dee-sack.  Evan totally knows how to steer and he always goes for the big bumps and then turns back so he can go over and over and over them.  He also enjoys going up and down driveways, while Alex is just racing.  This past week we had our first interaction with on coming vehicle.  Both times I told Alex a car was coming he bolted off his bike and ran for the grass, while this is a pretty good method. The second time he did it he left his bike in the middle of the road for me to go get.

Tball is one of the boys favorite sport. Alex can really get some distance with the ball and Evan is a pretty good ball fetcher. However, Evan has realized that it's so much fun to toss a ball into the street because there is a slight hit and it just rolls and rolls as mommy chases after it.

Matching PJs!

Alex had a temperature of 103 a few weeks ago.  Turns out he had strep and felt horrible.  But we got him into the doc and got him on meds.

All Alex wanted to do was sleep. By the next day he was right as rain and running around like crazy again.

Date night at the Fox for Mike and I seeing Flight of the Conchords.

Alex in my sun hat.  Pretty cute on him I think.

Evan down for the count with strep.

Alex at VBS which he enjoyed for about half the week, but a whole week of it for all of us was a bit much than we could handle.

Evan sporting the VBS mustash.

Cute picture of Alex at a nice park.

The boys love their garbage trucks. This day we got to see it up close because we were out getting the mail.  We even got a wave and a honk!!

Cute Evan in too small of a hat.

Alex did this puzzle all on his own.  I was quite impressed.  I think I might need to get more for him.

Alex the master stacker of anything... even banana pieces.

Evan eating his first corn on the cob at Aunt Jamie's house during 4th of July.  Both my boys are corn lovers, can't complain about that.

They just keep getting bigger

We all went to Greenfield Village to ride on Thomas The Train.  Alex was very happy to ride on Thomas.

Alex and Daddy both loaded up.

The boys with Thomas.

Alex got to go to Toys R Us and pick his birthday gifts from his Grandma Jamie and these are the items he picked.  I don't think the remote controlled car will last very long with how it rams into everything, but what do I know. He had a great time picking his gift and he got a crown, balloon and a stuffed Giraffe. All in all a good trip.

Evan got switched into a bigger seat because he kept fighting getting into the car.  I think it was the car more than the car seat.  He kept crawling into it while it was sitting on the floor.

Grandpa Clayton and Nephew Clayton are neck in neck for height now.  Nephew Clayton is 13 and already just about 6 foot.

Boys and their cars.

This picture I just found hilarious. Evan just looks crazy. :)

This is Evan's face now for pictures.  You point a camera at him and this is what he does.

Evan is getting a lot better at drinking out of a cup.  Now he also enjoys dumping the water out and filling the cup up with the contents of his plate.  Very fun for everyone.

We went with some friends to Greenfield Village and Thomas was still there.  Alex and I were very surprised to see him again. Turns out he was leaving the next day.

Chef Alex.

Mike would always put the pants on the boys heads while changing their diapers.  I figured why not, won't be in diaper much longer. (Crossing fingers)

Evan at dinner with photo face.

A great picture of Alex at dinner.

Alex and I at dinner.

Evan and Mike at my cousins wedding that was the must lovely day ever.  For an out door wedding we couldn't have asked for a better day.

Mike and I enjoying the wedding.

Evan is such a cry baby.  I think he was crying because I was sitting.

Water table is out and ready to roll. Do not get within 5' of it unless you want to get wet.

The boys and I one morning.

Mike and the boys playing with Legos.

The family is ready for a bike ride.

Alex has his new helmet and Evan looks pretty cute in his as well.

Evan has been wanting to feed himself more and more.  Now he refuses to let me put any utensil in his mouth, only he can.  He has to hold it and if I help try and put something on it he gets really mad.

Alex got sunflower seed from his Nana and planted them with his Oma.  Alex was very proud... too bad they didn't make it 24 hours outside. Not sure what happened but none of them survived the transplant outside.

Evan the old man. (I think I put Alex shorts on Evan because they were way too big)

Alex's last day of preschool with his teachers.  He already looking forward to next year.

We started out the month with loosing power at 4am, and not getting it back until 8pm. It was one of the 100+ heat index days, so the kids a...
