Alex has really mastered sitting up and playing. He has almost learned how to transition from a sitting position to a crawling position, but not yet.
I sat down with Alex last week at the piano to see if he would play. After a while he put his fingers down and started to push some keys down. Perhaps I'll have to make a music time ever few days and see where it goes. :)
Last week the little guy had a fever for three days. All he wanted to do was be held and taken care of. Mike enjoyed just rocking in the chair with him and enjoying the time of Alex not pushing away to go do something. I took Alex to the Doctor on Wed and he did REALLY well. He didn't cry really at all and was just interested in everything around him. The Doctor said that he had a cold and hopefully the fever would break by Friday, and it finally did on Thursday. Now Alex has a bit of a runny nose, but other than that seems in good spirits. :)
Hanging on the couch with Daddy
We traveled to Oma's house this past weekend to spend some time with my step sister and her family. Alex enjoyed seeing his cousins and got to hang out with Clara and chew on Noah's arc for a while.
Mike really enjoys putting Alex in his shoes for some reason. Granted it looks cute, and Alex's legs weren't long enough even to reach the floor with the boots on.
As most of you know Alex has started to crawl. He doesn't get onto his knees and hands, it's more of a commando crawl. He is pretty effective at it though. He can get all around the bedroom now and crawl down the hallway. If he wants to get somewhere he'll get there, and hopefully Mommy or Daddy is there with him.
So it is no surprise that Alex doesn't like his veggies, but yesterday I tried to see if Alex would like some spinach balls I made... and he did!! He went right to town which was awesome. I need to think of some other ways to get him his veggies.
So last night - no picture included - we had our first wave. We've been teaching Alex to wave goodnight to Daddy before nursing and in about three days he has learned that and put it into practice. Mike was very excited.
Take care and until next time... stay warm and healthy.
