People just keep getting older

Eliza has become quite a help in the kitchen. Really all the kids have.

Eliza is helping me make some banana muffins for us. Yum!

Evan can make a full meal from start to finish now.

He even helps clean up.

He made the salad and the sandwiches... and what meal is complete without a pickle?

Mike and I have been enjoying our Friday lunch dates while the kids are in school We found a really great place called Only Omelets and they are great! Funny thing, a lot of their omelets have lettuce in them, I like it!

I decided to try and grow lettuce while I had the grow lights on for the onions. It was a GREAT idea! Loving the fresh lettuce. Smells good too.

What month is complete without a visit from Uncle Geoff?

Eliza is our caption for this journey. She set up her bed with all the things a plane trip would need.

We have head phones, books to read, tea lights to enjoy while we are traveling.

Haven't made colorful cookie dough with the kids in a while. Always a special and yummy treat for us all.

Such creative little people I have.

Evan got a electric train for Christmas, and he loves it. He looking forward to getting more track to make it even BIGGER!

We are frequent visitors of our local library. Our people love books... Alex is no exception. Even when he could be playing with things at the library, he's got his nose in a new book.

The library even comes with a sledding hill out back. The kids took advantage of that as well.

And the giant piles of snow.

Dinner is never complete without a healthy game of tic-tac-toe.

Don't forget the Daddy hugs.

A quick game of Mind the Gap before school.

We had a delightful and much overdue visit with the Bessen Family. Everyone is getting so big!

We got a large influx of legos from my mom. So we decided we needed some storage for it all. We've been separating everything and organizing.

So many parts to build with. We had no idea how many lego people we had in this house.

These storage bins with drawers were really hard to find, but we did and it looks great! Works great too!

Who doesn't find riding in the bottom of the cart fun? Eliza really likes it under there. Often people are startled when she moves slightly or pops out unexpected. Either way she's easy to move around and she's not asking me to buy things we don't need. :)

Eliza really wanted to paint her nails. So we got her some colors at the store....

and when she finished the first Bob Book series... we painted them to look pretty.

Eliza has been creating her own meals and then we shop for them. She draws a picture of them, explains them to me, we make a few changes and then off to the store. She also helps me make everything.

Look who turned 7!!

This guy! He asked for Lemon cupcakes with Lime frosting. The lime frosting tasted like Key Lime Pie.

Eliza helping out in the kitchen again.

We got a visit in with Nana. She got to remember how active her little grand kids are.

But I know she enjoyed the hugs we got to give her.

Look who turned 5 and is heading to kindergarten in the fall.

This girl! She asked for Cherry cupcakes with Strawberry frosting... it was a yummy combination.

My cousin Jess was in town for a bit and they stopped by to play for a min. It was fun to see her boys and remember how cute little people are.

Calico kitty got older.

Eliza notified me the day of his birthday so we made donuts with Nutella glaze and sprinkles... another Eliza creation.

Eliza, and the boys, love to create art. I just plopped her down one day and did some work on the computer and she made these beautiful paintings.

Our family

She's at it again

She has been watching me embroder her pillow case I got her. So she wanted to learn. So I put a baby blanket in a hoop and gave her a needle and some floss and just let her go to town. She made a happy face.

Here is the pillow case I finished. Got one more to do. She's requested yellow flowers on the next one.

The boys have been in Lego League and they really enjoyed it. Here is Evan with the car he built with an engine and he could program it to drive and stop.

Alex enjoyed his team as well.

Someone is a tooth down... well 3 teeth down. Alex grabbed a piece of melon one morning while I was making breakfast and he turned around and said "My tooth is gone!" and then spit the melon and his tooth out on a plate... and there it was. He was glad he didn't swallow it.

We visited the Wades for the kids birthday parties. Clayton was showing Alex how to make some music on his computer.

Here are the 19, 15, 7 and 5 year old.

Crazy hair day for Alex. Got my 20 year old hair care products out.
We had to wrap a scarf around his head because it was so cold out and he couldn't wear a hat.

Banana telephone, cause it's what you do.

Just smashing some Geodes that Evan got for his birthday.

It was loud and dirty

Evan had a blast!

Seeds are in for tomatoes, peppers, and basil.

Eliza getting a bit wind blown on the way to the bus. About half way to the bus we questioned why we walked to the bus stop.

Computer corner in our house... all the boys hard at work.

Alex had to do a report and model of the solar system. He got an A and he did a really good job. He did all of this at school with no help from us.

More banana phones in the morning... before cutting them up to have on our pancakes.

Almost too big for the old Mustang. Evan's knees are above the steering wheel.

Art by the fire while we listen to some Potter.

They are so great a drawing!

Alex's drawing

Objects being drawn

Eliza and I after church, just happened that we matched.

Alex getting his creative juices flowing.

Peppers are up!

We visited the Henry Ford Museum with the Wades this week. Very busy, but still glad we went.

We took a walk today after a movie and I asked the kids if they wanted to go a bit farther... well we ended up a the park. The kids are almost getting too big for the park... but not yet.

Funny thing... for the first day of April...the weather didn't know what it was doing. One min we had sun and the next we were in a snow storm.
