Well we are at week 39.5 with baby Baker 2. Still feeling mostly well and have the bag packed for the hospital. Got the 5 pages of instructions for my sister (huge thank you to her for watching Alex) on how to run the house and Alex's routine. One big change is we are down a family member... we decided that Link might be happier in another home where he could have other furry brothers and sisters and perhaps a fenced in yard. It was tough to say goodbye to him, but I'm sure how full my hands will be in the near future it was the best choice for all of us.
Alex woke up and heard the bus going by. I thought it was a pretty image with the sun coming up.
My friend Kristi crocheted Alex a crown. :) so cute.
Kristi and I made one of my first, or perhaps my first, gingerbread house. It was awesome!! So glad we took the time to do it.
Here is Alex's room. There is more stuff in it now to make it more functional, but I wanted to share the colors and how great of a job Mike did.
Alex enjoying story time with Daddy.
Alex watching Mike snow blow. I think he wanted to go out and help him.
Alex likes to crawl up next to me in my big chair and read books. I think it's so cute.
Alex being pretty in his pink hat and beaded necklace.
Alex brushing his teeth before bed. He does pretty good with it and even asks for it. :) What a great kid.
Alex at the doctor office at a work bench. He was able to nail in the red nail with one try. I think he might have some wood working skills. :)
So Alex can now reach the water dispenser on the fridge. So he likes to fill his glass then turn around and dump it right into the prep sink on our island. Well he doesn't always get it in the sink... so now he's learning about clean up after himself. Mike thinks of it as slave labor.
A image of things to come. Boys and the baby on the couch.
Alex after getting out the shower with a HUGE yawn. Could he get any cuter? I really love that he has wavy hair.
Alex and I decided to spend a day with my best friend Emily at the Hands On Museum in Ann Arbor. Alex got to play in a ambulance and all kinds of other fun activities.
He could work on sending signals by pulling levers and lighting up lights.
He got to dress up like a fireman and sit in a little fire truck.
But really what could be more fun than getting down on the floor and playing with a baby? I think he's going to make a great big brother.
Alex after sledding down our tiny sledding hill in our back yard. He liked it more than last year, but didn't 'like' it yet. He'll get there. It was also really cold out that night.
Alex really likes to crawl up onto the big beds and 'go night night'. He brings his stuffed animals, covers his legs with the blanket, and puts his head on the pillow.
Alex and our good friend Geoff out to brunch. Alex and him get along so well.
Alex enjoying Nana's banana bread. He really thought it was awesome!
