Been a while, but we made it to 2015

So in Dec. Alex and I went to the Zoo on the day it was 40ish degrees.  He really started to enjoy it there and look at the animals. He also got to walk around on his own which is a lot of fun.

Here he is posing in front of a painted sign.

This is us in the Arctic exhibit with a seal in the background.

As we were Christmas shopping I picked up a pair of slippers that Alex thought was a hat. :)

Alex got his first train set from the Wade family this year.  He has had fun driving it all over the house.  He doesn't like to keep to the track yet, but all in due time.

Alex wanted to try out Mike's new wireless headphones. I thought it was a cute moment.

Alex has been really wanting to use his own utensils lately, and he's doing pretty good. He really does well with full size forks and pancakes. :)

Alex got to visit with his Aunti Em and try on her big glasses. Aren't they cute! :)

Alex found his Daddys hat and had to try it on.  This kid and his hats.

This is a picture of my future I'm sure.  I can just hear him saying "Yeah what ever mom"

Here is a picture of the kids room in progress.  The colors are up and the doors are being painted.  Now we have the picture rail up and have a crib and dresser to build and decorate the room.

Alex still really wants to go out and play, but what he doesn't realize is how cold it is, and how his lawn mower does not really work in the snow.

However, he was helpful with his new shovel for a little while.

Alex got a doll for Christmas and he has been loving it. More pictures to follow.

Alex and Aunt Shawn.  Did I not say he loves hats.

Alex feeding his baby after putting it to bed.

Alex saying "Shhhhh" because it's baby's bed time.

Holding his baby while feeding it with the nasal spray. No we didn't teach him how to feed his baby, not sure where he got it because he didn't really get fed using a bottle.

Alex playing on the step ladder as we work on his room.

Alex having his first taste of Ramin noodles thanks to my friend Kristi.  He was on a no dairy diet and I didn't know what to feed him... so she was helpful and gave us a few packages.

Prince Alex. :)  Yes, he asked to wear the crown.

We've been putting up picture rail in our bedroom too and we had all of Alex's toys stacked up.  He still found a way to get into his car while brushing his teeth.  He's such a funny kid.

  1. FYI I hear Great Lakes Crossing has a new huge indoor aquarium you might want to check out. I think it's already open. Looks like you will have a helper with the new baby. time is going fast!
