Such a full summer

The library had guest visitor Dr. Slime and the kids got to see a bunch of fun experiments. This is dry ice bubbles they could hold.

They got to hold carbon dioxide.

And Alex got to try and keep a hold on the spinning bicycle wheel.

They also had a virtual reality area where Eliza got to drive in a racing game.

Such a cute girl!

Crazy kids

Eliza's first haircut/trim.

Evan looking handsome after his haircut.

They keep asking to go to the subdivision park, so they finally got their wish.

Finger painting fun... Eliza didn't like it AT ALL. She wouldn't touch the paint.

We were under the weather a bit this month. I had bronchitis and laryngitis, and gave Alex it so he got pneumonia and in turn he gave it to Evan. So we are waiting in the doctors office in this picture to make sure Evan was healthy and ready to go.

We had a nice visit with the Rowe family at the Farmington Library.

We also visited Rainforest Cafe

Eliza has been working on learning her letters for Preschool

I think Mike's expression says so much for how our month has been going. :)

We headed to Aunt Shawn's house, but we didn't bring any swimsuits, but thankfully they had a bin of suits we got to pick through. Evan is in size 8 (he wears 4) but it had a draw string, and Alex is in a size 6 girl shorts (hey, they work!) and Eliza actually got her size for her suit. :)

The kids are loving the water this summer.

Meals with the Wade family are always fun

I tried my hand a gluten free cupcakes this month. There was an overwhelming approval by all I gave them to.

Evan and Eliza are getting ready to blast off into space. They went on a grand adventure and came back to tell me about it after. :)

We all went to the movies with the Wade family one morning. It was interesting sharing snacks with 9 people in a row.

Then off to lunch with them a Old McDonalds.

We visited with Grandma and Grandpa and the kids all got a ride from the cousins.

Eliza got her ride as well.

Aunty Em came for a visit this month. The kids kept asking her to bake cookies... : D

Alex and Evan really enjoyed their sports camp. They learned the basics of soccer, football and softball. Both of them decided that soccer was the clear winner for them both.

Shopping with Eliza. She startled a few people when they walked by because they didn't hear her.

We went to a concert at a local park.

Visited the Henry Ford Museum to see the Star Trek Exhibit. Mike was SOOOO happy.

After the Star Trek exhibit we went to a movie to learn about Saturn.

We had a tailgate church service and afterwards a potluck lunch.

The kids decorated our trunk for the tailgate with every stuffed animal in the house.

The kids really enjoyed the pastors punches that he made.

Evan is a master builder.

We visited Greenfield Village this month, and of course road the train. We also took a carriage ride, model-t ride, and....

Road the carousel... twice.

Evan enjoying reading with Daddy

I got a cucumber out of the garden as long as Eliza's arm.

We took a trip to Ludington, MI with Uncle Geoff. Eliza enjoying some time on the beach covering her shoes in sand.

Both the boys got buried in sand.

Mike getting some sun.

We saw the Badger come in from Wisconsin.

We visited the farmers market in Pentwater.

Did some shopping in Pentwater as well.

Geoff's brother invited us out on their boat, which was super nice.

The boated us over to a really shallow area that the kids could stand easily and also climb the sand dunes.

The kids were cold on the way home... turns out mommy forgot the towels in the car.

Thank you to Geoff and his brother for a great day!

Can't be a vacation without a campfire.

And smores!!

love this picture

I got some hammock time during nap time, and then the boys came down to visit me on it.

Family picture on Lake Michigan.

My new computer desktop picture

Last morning in Ludington.

On the way home we visited Grandma Jamie and Grandpa Bart, and they were kind enough to offer us lunch.

And Alex read them a book that they gave to them.

Beautiful day for a drive

Eliza got her face painted... she didn't want a rainbow or flower... no she wanted a snake.

I went to get the kids for breakfast and walked into Evan reading books to Eliza. :)

I pulled all this from my garden yesterday. Got my beets roasted and pickled as well as got some more cucumbers pickled.

Sadly we also had to say goodbye to my Grandpa Ernst this month. He fell while I was in Ludington, but I made it back in time to get to the hospital to say goodbye. He will be missed.
