Spring is almost over

Ah the joys of having kids and never having your own space again. Love being crawled and laid upon in the same moment in a restaurant.

Evan and Daddy built his snap together Ford Raptor. Evan was very proud, just wish it was a bit more durable.

Leprechaun trap was set by the kids on St. Patrick's Day Eve. No Leprechaun, but we did get some candy and money.

Morning Kindle time for Eliza and Alex.

The kids have been just as excited as I have been this month with watching for new sprouts. It's been fun having them help look and telling me when to water.

I decided to pull down all the lego sets and let the kids play with them. Usually we keep them up because I'm afraid of them getting broken, but we just went for it.

The boys practicing magic tricks.

Library book receipt is huge! We have way too many books out.

We took a trip to a school playground. The kids are all pretty good climbers.

Evan photobombing Alex's picture.

Eliza showing her super strong muscles.

Evan wearing the hat he got when he was born. Somehow it still fits on his head.

We visited with my grandma this month. She's doing well and enjoyed the visit. I gave her the bowler hat we had for our magic show to keep the sun out of her eyes a bit more. :)

We stopped by my moms house and gave Opa a magic show. He was super impressed.

Eliza didn't make it home awake that day. :)

Evan found a perfectly curved stick for a bow. I helped him attach a rubber band to shoot sticks.

Alex's tower for class. He had to create a theory, test it, and have a conclusion.

Eliza hard at work on all our puzzles.

I tried the free food program through the school one week. This is food for 3 kids or 7 days from them. I didn't know where to put it all and we are still eating it.

We took Frisbees on our morning walk.

Eliza painted my table with her tomato soup one evening.

Alex joined me on butchering beef this month. First time we've gotten to see some Ernst family in over a year.

While Alex and I were out making burger Eliza and Evan got to go to a park.

Got to love static.

Fun with ziplines.

This month everyone got older. We now have a 4,6 and 8 year old.

We had a nice visit with the Wades this month.

Clara turned 14 and Clayton 18.

I think Eliza likes ice cream.

Just a bit.

The kids and I headed to the Henry Ford Museum and got to see the Tiffany exhibit. It was beautiful.

Eliza helping me thin out the pepper and tomato plants.

Everything is coming along nicely.

Evan taking some time to read one of his stories. He loves Noodle Head books. Hearing him giggle while reading is super cute!

Eliza and Evan decided to decorate Alex's desk area with Crayons and Magic Marker when I wasn't looking.

So they also got to clean it.

And scrub it.

The garden expanded to the north 5 feet this year.

The kids enjoying some time outside while Mike and I worked on the garden.

Easter bunny came.

I did a scavenger hunt around the yard with Easter Eggs and clues.

They all had to think about the clue to find the next one. In the end they each got $1.00 in quarters.

Ready for church on Easter Morning.

Eliza is getting really good at sounding out words.

Eliza inspecting Daddy's hand and making sure it's healing.

This girl is ready to watch her shows after her nap.

Craft time at the Baker house.

Helping mom put in the garden.

We planted parsnips, peas, carrots, beets, lettuce and green onions.

The kids are getting a taste of my past, The Farming Game. I played this a lot when I was a kid.

Evan and our neighbor Mila.

Garden is done. Now just need to get some compost and have it warm up a bit. I lined the garden with bricks to keep little critters out.

We finally got the electric train out of the basement and running. Evan really wanted one for his birthday. I don't know if it will last a week with how rough these guys are with toys.

Evan practicing his cursive.

Alex enjoying opening his gifts for his birthday.

Alex's special meal meatballs and mac and cheese. He said he ordered mac and cheese for Eliza and Evan because he wanted to make sure they had something they liked to eat. :)

Zoom with the Carters and Nana.

Chocolate cupcakes for Alex with Harry Potter decorations.

Alex got Mario figures for his birthday, so the kids have been making stop animation with them. It's pretty awesome.
