The Garden is in Let Summer Begin

Eliza won't be small like this forever. Might as well capture how she fits into small things while I can. Not to mention her always stealing Alex's kitty cat.

The kids and I went shopping at a local farmers market for our plants one day after swim class. The kids had more fun than the picture leads you to believe.

Had to protect the small plants from the deer, rabbits, and groundhogs in the yard before we built the garden fence.

The boys discovered a large mushroom on a stump in the backyard.

My mom came up and helped me put the plants into pots and put the fence posts into the ground and string the plastic deer fencing around the garden area one day.

Everyone enjoying an outing to Home Depot. Evan and Eliza liked that they helped daddy 'steer' the cart.

Alex is reading to daddy at Red Robin while we wait for our food.

Evan has taken to pushing the cart while at Meijer. I still need to steer it because he can't see where he's going, but he enjoys his contribution.

When Eliza is getting ready to be washed in the tub the boys crowd to the other side of the tub with all the toys to 'save' them from the soap. :)

Eliza has finally discovered the box fort and Eliza and Evan run around in circles trying to catch each other in there. (Eliza going in in the middle, Evan waiting for her at the exit on the right)

The kids are learning a new game, Uno. The really enjoy it, but they don't like to not win.

I love Evan's PJs.

Finally busted out the bean bag toss that Grandma Jamie bought for Evan for Christmas. Finally using their throwing arms for good. Eliza even got in on the fun.

The boys were consumed with an Inch Worm trying to crawl slowly back up to the tree. Evan went back about 10 times to see its progress as they were playing.

So Eliza has started fishing stuff out of the trash. I came into the kitchen with her eating the small bits of popcorn that fell out of the bag that she pulled out of the trash. She was avoiding the other bits of food (her left over sandwich) that came with the bag. We are making more use of the lock now.

We decided to take a nature walk by the Parks and Rec building with the kids and our friend Sara and her kids. The boys are enjoying looking out over a pond.

I did not have the right type of stroller for this type of adventure. There were times that we needed to carry the strollers because there was too much standing water or mud.

After our walk the boys played outside with the sprinkler.

While the babies and the parents enjoyed the AC.

Alex and Evan warming up in the sun.

Our gatherings are never complete without a dance party.

Alex and Evan have been putting on their Halloween costumes to hang around the house lately.

Alex being goofy.

Evan loves his puzzles. He does them all the time.

Eliza in her winter coat for next year. She looks so precious and she was so soft!

Eliza loves walking around her baby stroller with a baby, a car, a stuffed animal in it.

Alex was less than thrilled with sharing a chair with his sister at his Uncle Dave's birthday party.

Eliza and Aunt Jamie having a bit of time together.

We celebrated my dad's birthday with him.  Evan wanted more and more of the bumpy cake. That kid likes cake like his mother.

Everyone wanted to sit on mommy's lap one day at swim class.

Grandpa and Eliza enjoying some time together at swim class.

Our preschool had a fundraiser for playground equipment, and Evan is enjoying his pasta dinner.

You could pay a dollar to whipped cream your teacher in the face.

The boys took full advantage.

Evan's artwork on display. He says that "when he grows up he wants to be Alex." :)

Alex's artwork on display.

Eliza stayed in this high chair almost the whole time we were at the fundraiser. A few people said "wow she is a great baby!" and we just nodded. She was so distracted by all the happenings around her.

Evan looking cute with his orange headband and orange shirt.

The kids enjoying some Mario Cart.

Eliza looking cute as a button with bubbles on her head at Auntie Em's house.

The boys enjoyed swinging on Auntie Em's swing.

Eliza got some cuddle time.

The boys each got to ride with Uncle Joe on his tractor.

Eliza wore through her PJ's so that two toes could poke through. She's moved up in PJ's since then.

Alex's last day at preschool at Shepherd King.

Eliza and Evan now share rides on Sandy at Meijer. Eliza loves it.

Preschool graduation for Alex.

Eliza has started using utensils which is fun and messy.

My mom came up and helped me install a door Mike made on my garden so I can get into it more easily. I noticed this week that I have pepper, tomato, and green bean blooms now. :) :)

The kids enjoying some Oma time.

The boys look so cute after swim class waddling down the hall to the changing rooms in their towels. Evan moved up at swim class this week. He's now in Junior 2, and Alex will be moving up soon as well. Alex can swim the full length of the pool now.

We visited a new park this month by swim class and they had these awesome cars on springs. I gave the kids a "ride" on them they really enjoyed.

Then they all got a ride on the swings together.

Eliza decided she needed some sunglasses on the way home.

Mike purchased a new camera and we went to the park to try it out.

Alex going down the super fast slide with Eliza. She wanted to go again.

The boys going down together.

I really liked this picture

The boys were playing a game of throwing the ball down the stairs at each others faces. Mike thought it was a good time to pull out the camera.

Thankfully no one was injured.

Eliza loves books just as much as Alex did/does. She loves flipping through them, but unfortunately she also shares Evan's love for destroying things.

Eliza is always so sad when she doesn't get to go outside to play with her brothers.

Yes, I think these two are related.

Eliza HAD to sit at the table at the doctor's office and color. There was no way she wasn't going to be allowed to.

Remind me never to take all three to the doctor again. They are a handful. Eliza is doing great. She's tall and skinny. 94% in height, 34% in weight.

Ahhh  Evan.

Evan is doing great at his tricycle. He can go up the driveway just by pedaling now.

The Wade family got home yesterday and we had a wonderful morning visiting with them. Everyone was so happy to have them home for a bit.

Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Keeping Busy is our middle name

We joined some friends for bowling, turns out the boys really enjoy it. Evan is already perfecting his form. Eliza tries really hard to get ...
