Got all their big trucks out and filled them to the brim.
We got a few last min trips in to Greenfield Village before school started.
Made it to Cranbrook Science Center
Been playing the game Guess Who?
A lovely breakfast with Uncle Geoff. He was embracing the handle bar mustache.
Finally got a Cul-de-sac party together and had a good turn out. Always nice to see all the neighbors. Not to mention Mark put on a magic show and the kids did one for him. That was super fun.
Summer is not complete without a backpack squirt gun fight.
We went to the Henry Ford Museum and got to see the Jim Henson Exhibit. All the kids got to create their own puppet.
After the Jim Henson exhibit we went and saw a movie on the big screen about physics.
The kids got to try putt putt golf. Evan had really good aim, we think his golf summer camp helped out. I think we'll try again at on outside course.
Batman and Spider woman.
We got to visit Great Grandma which is always nice.
Had a picnic with Oma and her cat Bubba
Fished for tadpoles in Oma's water retention pond.
Finally broke out the unicorn sprinkler and had a friend bring over a dinosaur sprinkler for everyone to play in. The yard was a swamp by the end of the day, but the kids had a blast!
Another trip the the Village, we didn't get all the rides in the time before so we went back to ride EVERYTHING!
We had a nice visit with Auntie Em and Lila. Even got to play with our old water table.
Lila is getting so big! We also got to bring Oma to meet Lila so it was a very special day.
This is how Alex is all the time, reading, reading, reading... playing computer/video games.
We had a party for our friend Jason's birthday.
First day of school for Alex and Evan. Evan is in the 1st grade and Alex is in the 3rd grade Magnet program.
I made some fancy bread that was super good.
Eliza enjoying dinner.
We finally gave away our little house to our neighbor to enjoy. He's in there all the time with his dad when we walk by. The kids just used it to sit on the roof, so we thought it could be put to better use.
We got an invite to Grandma Jodi's lake house with the Wades. So we went and enjoyed some swimming and dinner together.
Finally got the deck. This is the tool they used a lot it's called a ditch witch and it is awesome.
These are the front tires on the guys truck that came to work on the deck. The kids were impressed with them.
Old decking off
This giant truck came to deliver the wood and Trex. He had to back it up to get it out it was so long. Super nice guy though.
Eliza also started Pre-K and she LOVES it!
Evan can now make the batter for pancakes and is able to cook and flip them on his own. He's really enjoying starting to help me in the kitchen. He's not interested in helping me cut up chicken yet.
Mom solo date night out with Uncle Geoff, so much fun!
Light Up Legos by Alex Baker. I think he thought he looked like a dog?
The boys have started soccer and are loving it. The last game Evan played he got 3 goals and a medal.
Aunt Jamie and Uncle Dave have been so awesome as to come and watch the boys play on Sunday.
Alex is the littles on his team, but he's the fastest and is getting really good.
Dad came to stay with us for a few days. He loved playing games with Eliza and hanging out with us. He also enjoyed watching the deck being built while he was here.
Top is the old, bottom is the new.
We went to a family fun night at the high school. It was fun and Alex was able to dunk his old principal in the dunk tank.
After the fun night we went for ice cream.
More pancakes being cooked and flipped.
Eliza and Evan wanted to write with feathers they found outside. So I got my old ink pot down and let them have a whirl.
Rocks got delivered and spread.
Eliza decided to have a tea party with me. We had grapes and wonderful conversation over some cups of tea. She did make a spot for Daddy because she forgot he had to work. No worries, those grapes did not go to waste.
Waiting for the boys bus to come.
Love this girl
Eliza has been enjoying picking small bouquets out of the garden.
Turnips are harvested and cleaned
And they are pickled. :)

Eliza was hitting the sweet tea a little hard that night.
Alex is ready for Church
Evan is looking pretty styling for church as well
Eliza and her always fabulous self
Evan made a sock puppet. He keeps asking to teach him how to sew. So he sewed on the eyes and the tongue. He's very happy with himself.
Look who finally lost a tooth. He's been working on this thing for 7 months, no joke. He's so happy!
Breakfast with Uncle Geoff... he's a popular guy.
Muddy Muddy soccer. :)
Having fun
